Didn't see a thread for PoT music so decided to make one hurhurhur so I won't keep spamming general news thread /coughs.

So yeah, what are your thoughts on OPs/EDs in general? What's your favorite song/single/album? Who's your favorite PoT singer? What's you favorite unit (mine is too obvious isn't it)? Etc etc. Share your thoughts! :D

HI AKIRA I LOVE YOU.

Okay it's seriously been a while, but let's start bit by bit, and I'll just elaborate as we go or something *SHRUGS*

OP/ED: Generally when it first started off, I was kind of uninterested in it. I found that though, character singles that serve as OP/EDings are usually the better ones, read: Wonderful Days and Enjoy LOL.

Character Singles: I seriously, have not, ever, encountered, any other fandom that satisfies me with character singles as much as PoT has. I was seriously so in love with the music that more than often they have served as my ringtone and I'm usually flashing off jrock songs, not anime songs. They take up most of my old MP3 players (back when I bothered using them), I had them on repeat forever, and even now I still listen the crap out of them. I'm not going to talk about how seiyuus are really talented here, because yes, they do make the song! But the production, the composers, they seriously capture the essence of the character in their composing. One of the best examples would be Shiraishi, with his love for KPop and Trance, they honestly tried to emanate that with a lot of his songs. And this is exactly why they keep dishing out so many freaking singles every goddamn year, they are of great quality.

PoT Singer: Let's be fair, they're all good in their own way, but who can throw their voice? Atobe can throw his voice. Shiraishi comes next for me, cos he can seriously throw his voice too, what range. Oshitari Yuushi also wins just because I wanna give Kiuchi points for even doing that to his voice HOW THE HECK. Akayan is also always moe with his singing, Bunta is also super talented hnnnng, and I like Jiroh's huskiness in his singing (also Akutsu for sounding ironically moe LOL). And because I am biased I can listen to all of Chitose's singles forever. Even if they aren't as catchy as the other boys shhh.

Group: I LOVE THESE GROUPS, I seriously don't have a favourite because they're all awesome. I mean I might make honourably mentions, like Pull Tab to Can being the one to start it all, 3 Guava Trio for being super moe, and By Tachikiri Tai for just being randomly awesome with all their OPs.

Favourite Song/Album: Really now guys. Oh come on. It's hard to pick favourites! Okay honourable mention to Atobe's Cross By You, cos I was just following the manga so happily, and that song made me have to watch the anime too. A cocktail of voices then followed hello. Actually another honourable mention to Akutsu Jin's Get Free. That was the second song to get me to watch the anime (I know I was just randomly downloading). Shishido's songs are excessively catchy to me, like Geki Dasa Daze and Emblem. Shiraishi's albums are my general favourite thus far, though, I just really like the production of them.

I have never really been fond of the opening songs, except for Dream Believer (completely forgot who the artist is OTL) and the ones done by characters. I simply love character songs.

I have a really hard time picking a favouring song/single/album... I love pretty much all of them! ... but I actually think that my favourite Charm Point wa Naki Bokuro. I felt seriously attracted to this song when I first heard it. And when I discovered what he actually was singing, I died only came to love this song even more <3 Even know, when I listen to it I have a hard time holding my laughter. Another favourite would by Cross With You, I can listen to that song on repeat forever... I also really really love Oblivion and Betrayal! I think I could go on like this and name pretty much all of Atobe songs as my favourites ;D

My favourite PoT singer would be Atobe.. I'm just seriously in love with his voice <3 And I love like 99% of his songs. I also seriously love Shiraishi <3 And Ryoma~ .. I also think Oishi has a seriously wonderful voice, to which I can listen to like hours.

I love all those groups! But my favourite group would by Rikkai Young-kan <3 I feel strangely attracted to those boys, and I seriously love their songs. Especially Owaranai Ai <3
I also really love Megane's for the amount of crack their songs have. Especially like their first single, Go! Go! Megane's xD

Wow, a lot of things to mention here~!

OP: Driving Myself. I like the upbeat melody, so it keeps me hyped up
ED: White Line, because I love Aozu's songs so much! >w< I also like Keep Your Style, because I can relate to the lyrics, and Kaze no Tabibito, because it's just...sweet? xD

Song: My ultimate favourite is Shiraishi's Prayer. It's the song that I have never stopped liking since it first came out ^______^ Right after that is Chotarou's Smile~Tookutemo Wasurenaide~ (NamiDai's voice ♥), and lastly Atobe's Existence. The lyrics always make me curious xD

Singles: Oh man. I have a few to mention here. Hiyoshi's Rise~Gekokujou + Joutou. Seriously, for a quiet guy, Hiyoshi's got a nice voice And then...Yuushi's A Kimochi, because his voice and the beat mixed so well together. Renji's Answer, because honestly, how can you not love the Professor's voice? >w< Niou's Bluest Sky because it's cool, as well as Sanada & Tezuka's Sabishii Nettaigyo because it's funny! Hahaha. I  also can't resist not putting this one - our super rookie pair with 50/50!
Album: Yukimura's Last Songs, Ryoma's SR Samurai, and Atobe's Ultimate Hardworker ^^

PoT Singer: First it would definitely be Hosoya-san (Shiraishi), then Suwabe-san (Atobe), and Nao-san (Marui)! They're all so talented *o* And yes, I gotta hand it to Kiuchi-san (Yuushi) as well, because man, his Valentine Kiss and Mebachiko makes me melt~~~

Group: Hyotei Eternity is my most favourite, because I love their songs xD Right after that is Aozu, because I like hearing Ryoma, Tezuka, Oishi, and Fuji's voice together. I think their voices mash up well together. Especially in Mata Kimi to T___T 3 Guava Trio also rocks even though they only sang one song...

Wow, glad everyone has a mix of different songs and groups! I think this is one of the things that kept me glued to Tenipuri. The fact that they keep coming up with new songs makes you remember the series more often xD

Wow, OP/ED songs. How many years have it been? XD The only ones I remember from the top of my head is only Kaze no Tabibito and Future, and possibly a few Kimeru songs that I forgot the titles of XD (I love Kimeru's voice btw *A*)

My favorite song... Geez, I wonder what, so many to choose from lmao. I especially like Shishido-Ootori's Next Gate and Bunta's Taisetsu na Hito e. I could blabber on and on but let's stop right here. XD

For singles... Anything by Rikkai Young Kan and The Megane's, really, lmao. I also really like Gather and Departures because oh man the nostalgia when listening to these songs *A*

Favorite album will forever be Shishido's ZERO, along with Tezuka's With in a close second. I also really like Niou's P tee hee.

Man, PoT has so many great seiyuu/singers, but I guess my favorite will always be TakaNao/Bunta. I just... really, really love his voice. I thought at first I liked him because of my bias toward Bunta (he was my favorite PoT character back then) but even now when I'm not that biased to him anymore, I still really love his voice XD I was also really excited that he came to TeniFesta 2011. I also really like Kusudaman/Shishido's and Sho-chan/Akaya's singing voice 8)

Before I proceed to the next section (lol what), I shall say that Niou, Yagyuu, Bunta, and Akaya have always been my favorite characters for years. Unfortunately, due to being out of the fandom for so long, I only found out that they formed a unit about a year ago. I'm not kidding, I was ecstatic when I knew it XD So yes, my favorite PoT unit is Rikkai Young Kan, mostly because I love their random raps lmao. I also really like Hyoutei Eternity, 3 Guava Trio, The Megane's (d'awww forever loving how Tsuda Eisuke-san always felt left out because he felt that Yagyuu should be in that group as well lol), and Cap to Bin.

OPs/EDs: Lol at the start I was really focused to OP/ED, I skipped most of EDs too because I needed to watch another ep, but I like Driving Myself, You Got, Wonderful Days, haha, well almost everything sang by the seiyuu like Kakaeta Kiseki and Koi no Gekidasa Ecstasy and such 8D Including OP/EDs in OVAs. AND ENJOY!

What's your favorite song/single: Hard to say D: Depends and changes on my mood but all the time favourite song is Wonderful Days 8D I can listen to this anytime and it always helps me to have better mood Bunta's song, go on from Shiraishi, I mean, there are too much awesome songs I can't really say 8D

Who's your favorite PoT singer? Bunta/Nao's 8D Hey, firstly it was because I was biased of course, but hey, I listened to Nao-san's own songs and they are asdfghjkl so yeah I love his voice 8D Fuji/Kaida's voice is awesome too and Choutarou/NamiDai's songs are really great too xDD Oh SHIRAISHI I FORGOT SHIRAISHI/HOSOYAN! OP/ED: Argh, I've already forgotten what the opening songs are. Can't I just say all? Let's see, there's Fly High, Make You Free, Dream Believer, Future, etc. I've memorized Kaze no Tabibito, Across My Line, Koi no Gekidasa Ecstasy (almost), and Wonderful Days (lol). I really loved Kaze no Tabibito. It's the one that I had to rewind the first time I heard it to listen to it again and get the title (which I didn't get until I search for the ending songs in YouTube). There's also Wonderful Days, Koi no Gekidasa Ecstasy, Flower~Saki Midareshi Hana, White Line, and Across My Line, which I always listen to whenever I watch the OVAs, instead of skipping it entirely. It's the very first Echizen song I liked and is my favorite Echizen song, so far.  

Song: Hnn, there's so much. SO MUCH. Singles: Ooishi & Eiji's Type wa D!, all of Tezuka's, Yukimura's, Sanada's, Shiraishi's, Atobe's, etc. because I'm a lazy bum.

Albums: Tezuka's Impressive album was the first album I fell in love with (lol hi Tezuka bias), used to usually putting one of its songs or the whole album to loop before going to sleep (and falling asleep with earphones on, ARGH), and immediately following is Tezuka's With (and all of Tezuka's other songs because I downloaded anything Tezuka). And then came Yukimura's Last Songs album which I used to also loop. Then there's Sanada's Shou, Shiraishi's Medicine or ...? and Poison, Atobe's Ultimate Hard Worker and Hametsu e no Rondo, Fuji's Eyes, all albums by Meganes, etc.

Tezuka's Road has 2803 plays, according to iTunes, and Road II has 1180 plays, Sankyo to Yobarete (from Last Songs with Yukimura, Sanada, Yanagi) has 1314 plays, Emerald Line has 725 plays, aaaand others have over 100 plays but not reaching 500 because I've stopped looping the songs on earphones. It hurts my ears. x__x

OP/ED: Okay, so let's divide this with seiyuu and non-seiyuu OP/ED. Non-seiyuu ones, I love LONG WAY, Dream Believer, Little Sky, Kaze no Tabibito, and SAKURA. Lmao look at the variety of genre. But yeah all these songs are so chill and stuff, so. Seiyuu ones... er tough lol. ....Okay, never mind. I don't think I can pick a favorite. I love everything. Yes, okay!

Character Singles: (Or the songs inside the singles.) All them Shishido's, Oishi's and Taka-san's singles (haah lol). Kikumaru's Kiku-chan no Soran Bushi. I've always loved Soran Bushi so yes this goes without saying. Momo's SAYONARA (crying). Kaoru-chwan's Sekai wa Kawaru. Ahobe's Charm Point blah blah. Oshitari's Megane wo Hazusu Yoru and A Kimochi. THE BEST OF SEIGAKU PLAYERS: Can I just say everything? Because I really do love all the songs and they all have deep memories lmao.

THE BEST OF RIVAL PLAYERS: Kentarou's Honey Bee. (Goodness, Tosshi's voice. I love it so much.) Of course, Shishido & Ohtori's Brandnew Days will forever be a relevant song to me. Bane & Dabide's Joy to the World. Ahobe's Cross With You. Oshitari's Crafty. Gakkun's DA DA DA. Bakayan's Akaku Someru Tsuki. Jackal & Marui's windy road. Kite's Autumn Breeze. Okay to be honest I haven't heard a lot of them so I might be missing a lot but yeah, these are pretty much my favorites as of now.

Tenipuri Singer: My favorites don't necessarily mean they have crazy ranges, because if I like what I hear then I like it, that's it. So. You guys know who I would definitely mention first. Kusudaman (Shishido), Kon-chan (Oishi), and Narunaru (Taka-san). Their voices are so soothing and listening to them is simply relaxing, which is why I really love them so much. Kiuchi-san (Oshitari) goes without saying. Hello, Morikubow (Bakayan). I love his voice, especially when he starts singing something towards rock. Goodness. Tosshi (Kentarou) has this really sweet voice which I really like. Sueyoshi-san (Chinen) and Shingaki-san (Kite) are wonderful, as well. Oh and, I've lately taken a liking to Hosoya's (Shiraishi) voice. Ohguro-san (Bane) doesn't necessarily have super great vocals, but I love hearing him sing so much dlfkafjs.

Seiyuu Groups: Hi I can't pick bye. Lol seriously though all of them have their own charm so how is it possible to just pick a few?

Favourite Song: Dahh okay by now you would already know how much I can't pick with the longass lists above. Bane-san's Shippuu no Shiogaraa is awesome. I mean, man, a song about clamming and fighting over them? How cool is that? Lmao. Songs that Tezuka sing with two other Seigaku people are always awesome, too. Like, Kimi wo Sagashiteta (hi, a capella), Otoko no Bigaku, and Kibou no Uta. Uh... okay, forget it. I can't pick, I love everything I listed above. If I try to list furthermore it'll just be simply tl;dr. So. BYE GUYS. /useless person

Okay enough with the hopeless beauty queen jokes. Seems that most of us here are loyal to the PoT discography and same as with mae-okaasan, Prince of Tennis character album songs are the only char album I can listen to the whole day (or week... or LIFE) and feel no regrets.

Seriously this is one tough question HAHAHA and I had to open my iTunes and Last.fm account for this.


OPs & EDs: (For the original series) Okay I admit, until Aozu's White Line was played (and it took me WEEKS to know that Aozu = Fuji + Ryoma + Toast + Oishi) I'm not a fan of the opening and ending songs (I usually skip them BUT ANYWAY). My favorite OP would be Shining (because of reasons) and ED would be White Line, Wonderful Days, and Little Star.

For the Nationals, my favorite OPs are Tachikiritai's Koi no Gekidasa Ecstasy (it was love at first listen ♥) and Ryoma's Across my Line (the song oh~ brings my emotions back) and my favorite ED would be Dear Prince of course!

I also like the OP and ED for AnoToki (Another Story 2). Tachikiritai's Aozora Stage and my hubby Akaya's Hikari are really catchy.

Character Singles: OMG this is hard ldkrgnlrkghj but I guess I have to pick at most one (TORTURE) for each character I've listened to. For Ryoma, Dreaming on the Radio is my top choice. It was love at first listen and his (I mean... her...? OTL) voice fits well with the song. For Fuji, Darling's my favorite song. It was one of the first singles I've listened (but ultimately forgot the title and a good friend in Tumblr made me remember again HAHAHA) and still my all-time favorite Fuji single.

For Shiraishi gets shot twice but I got two favorite songs of his: Speed Star and Epilogue. I mean, his voice is soooooo *o* For Tezuka, Kimi wo Sagashiteta is my favorite... maybe because of the mini-additions of Taka-san and Oishi And Atobe's CHASER ~Kegarenaki Mono~ is also a favorite, along with Marui's Taisetsu na Hito e, Akaya's Time has Come, and Yukimura's Emerald Rain.

NOW FOR THE DUETS.

Current guilty pleasure is Kenya and Zaizen's Winning Shot. They need to sing more singles too!

Banana no Namida and Zousan no Scanty by Toast and Banana are my crack favorites! Tezuka and Fuji's own Kaze no Tabibito cover is Also, all the duets with Fuji on his new album are LOVE, especially Just Good Friends.

I haven't listened to more than half of the tracks though (Out of the 570 PoT songs I have, I've only listened to like... 80? HAHAHA OTL) so yeah. /lazy

PoT Singer: Shiraishi is my most-played PoT singer in my iTunes, next is Fuji Syuusuke, Tezuka, Sanada, and Kirihara. Seriously, Kirihara needs to have MORE singles. His voice makes my kokoro scream all the time.

Ryoma, Atobe, and Oishi's voices too are soooooo good. I'm going to mention Atobe again because I looooooove his seiyuu soooo much. Suwabe-sama, you did a good job.

Group: Tachikiritai is my most favorite PoT group. And saying that, they need more songs too D: their voices blend together beautifully (no wonder Koi no Gekidasa Ecstasy! is my most-played PoT song ) I also like Aozu (THAT much. ;, Cap to Bin (TONDE!! MAWATTE!! MATTA RAISHUUUUUU!), Rikkai Young Kan, Ikemen Samurai (my feelings),Tachikiritai (THIS), Pull Tab to Can, and 3 Guava Trio.

And.... THE MEGANES + Sanada! /shot

And saying that, almost all their singles as a group are

Favourite Song/Album: Fuji's Serendipity (I love ALL the songs alkgnarklgj) and Shiraishi's Poison and Medicine or...? are the albums I've listened to fully (as of the moment) so they're my favorites.

Then again, I tell everyone I haven't listened the whole PoT discography OTL but I hope that during the summer vacation I can listen to all of them.

I'm going to add on to my Favourites list, because I've been listening to this for days xD It's Shishido's High up in the Sky. I don't know...aside from the rhythm and lyrics, I think it's also Kusuda-san's voice when he sings that song. I think it really fits the song ^^ Especially when he sang that last line 'oozora ni kakenukete, high up in the sky'. My favourite line from the song ♥

Forgot to add Jirou's Against Wind to the list! It has always, always been one my favorite PoT songs since... the first time I heard it. I could never get bored of it.

Also I have a question about Niou's and Hiyoshi's song, For You. Are they released as singles or just like, a radio special or something? I can't seem to find any information anywhere, and I really, really love the song so I was hoping to get a higher quality version of it (the one I have is like... 32 Kbps, which doesn't do Massun's voice justice, sob)

Aww. I guess For You is a radio special or something then, can't find any details anywhere sobs. I found out about that song from PoT Festa and thought it was a Hiyoshi-Niou duet song and I was like "lol strange combi" (if they were a unit they'd totally be called "Piyo Combi" or something similar lmao)

Favorite Crack Songs: Charm Point wa Naki Bokuro (I do believe that Atobe was drunk here XD), Sabishii Netaigyo (haha Sanada... *collapsed*), Otoko no Bigaku (When Tezuka's speaking part, I felt like Kuchiki Byakuya, not Tezuka. Is it just me or...?)

Favorite Singer: Yukimura Seiichi, Oshitari Yuushi (my ears bleeding every time I heard his songs), Minagawa Junko (I love Ryoma's version of Tonde Mawatte Mata Raishuu), Atobe Keigo

Favorite Group: Megane's, 3 Guava Trio (Brand New Day is my all-time favorite XD),


What I love about PoT is they have so many crack songs XD I can't stop laughing every time I heard them (and they succesfully made my day brighter)

OP/ED: For now perhaps ENJOY? XD I also like Koi no Gekidasa Ecstasy, Aozora Stage, White Line, Across My Line... MANY and mostly are sung by the seiyuus

Singles: Shiraishi's Tsuioku! It's so saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. I also like his Song for You (even use this as a BGM for a fic) and Ashiato. Epilogue is also heartbreaking. Then for other characters.... Uhm... Sudden memory lost. *checks my mp3 list* I love Marui's Taisetsu na Hito e, Niou's Odore Odore, 1-365 no Kiseki, every version of LASER BEAM, Yukimura's Emerald Rain, Baby Knows, Ryoma's Yakusoku, Dreaming on the Radio and Ichigan.... etc. etc.

Duets and Groups: All songs sung by Rikkai Young Kan and Tachikiritai, then Jibun Kakumei ~Revolution~ (Yukimura and Niou), Sankyou to Yobarete, Departures, Freedom,  etc. etc.

Albums: Shiraishi's Medicine or...? and Poison, Niou's P, Yukimura's Sore wa Sore Toshite and Last Song, Ryoma's J.

TeniPuri Singers: Definately Hosoya! Then Marui's seiyuu~ His voice is so fluffy and sweet. The third is Fukuyama Jun! Kenya deserves his character songs! I also like Massun's voice and the combination of Aozu.

Crack Songs: Niou's For You and Shiraishi's Valentine Kiss. I also like Tonde! Mawatte! Mata Raishuu! ~Ryoma ga Ippai~

Yeah they were like White Day Limited Edition with bonus necklace, photo illustration and backing stand. The CD itself contains the song, karaoke version and voice message.
